IMPETUS Weapon Detector tool now being promoted as a product by new company AILert (formerly Cinedit VA GmbH)

Ever since the IMPETUS project ended in February 2023, the Weapon Detector tool developed during the project has been improved extensively, notably in terms of its accuracy (i.e. low number of false positives/negatives) and scope (types of weapons that can be detected). The work has involved a complete revamp of the underlying AI model. The tool was originally developed by project partner CINEDIT but has now been taken over by new company AILert who are now promoting it under the product name SAMSON.
